Off the wall is the fifth studio album by the American pop musician Michael Jackson, released August 10, 1979 on Epic Records, after Jackson's critically well received film performance in рдеे Wiz while working on that project, Jackson and Quincy Jones had become friends, and Jones agreed to work with Jackson on his next studio album.
"Girlfriend" was the initial name of the album "Off the wall"
"I spoke with Ouincy about Off the wall and i conceived carefully the sound i wished. When Quincy asked me if i had any desire, i told him that the disc must be different from all that Jackson brothers realised since then. Because of the efforts i made for Off the wall, i believe this was one of the most difficult period of my life."
Don't stop till you get enough was the first song that Michael composed and with it he won the first Grammy.
